There is no need to download and pay for driver programs. Most computer manufacturers have drivers that can be downloaded at their site for free.
I would suggest that you go to your computers manufacturer’s web site – browse for “drivers and downloads” – put in your model and download the drivers. The files you download are typically downloaded to the desktop or download folder. Double click on the file to run the .exe to install the drivers. Follow the onscreen prompts.
First a bit of advice, if it’s not broke don’t fix it. Just because a utility (Driver Detective) tells you there is a newer driver available if the device is not giving you any problems it’s generally best to leave it alone.
Most drivers come in either a zip file or and .exe (executable)
If it’s an .exe simply double click the file and follow the directions
If it’s a zip, open it and read the “read me” file for directions
You can also read the information provided at Driver Detective’s site on installing drivers, they have a wealth of info on the subject.
