Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Microsoft Update.
When @ Microsoft Updates, click the ‘Custom’ button, not the ‘Express’.
This will give you hardware & software updates specific to your unit (hence the necessity to allow the ‘Active X’).
Express gives Windows operating system updates.
Tip: When your system is behaving itself, do a driver backup to a single CD so you can get to them again.
It gets harder and harder to find them, and many places charge to get them.

Use the ‘back up all drivers’ for the first BU; & keep it with your unit.

Use a program like Unknown Devices to check what drivers you need and then go to the manufacturer’s website and install the latest drivers for your hardware.
